COMMUNITY SERVICES @ CASS UNSW

Soup Kitchen

Soup Kitchen is just one of the many community services CASS offers that enables you to serve your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. With Soup Kitchen, we assist the volunteers at Vinnies with the lunch time rush. Not only do we help a good cause, we also have the opportunity to get to know others including the needy on an ongoing basis. So if you have time, youíre more than welcome to come along, and even bring a friend or two to help out!

Time: Every Saturday, 12:30-1:30pm
Place: Matthew Talbot Homeless Services
(Special Work of the St Vincent De Paul Society)
Woolloomooloo

Chinese Nursing Home Visits

Nursing Home gives you the opportunity to serve the dignity of the human person. By being a volunteer every third Saturday of the month, you are able to bring a smile to the people at Bernard Chan Village through your wonderful company, conversations and shared experiences. Whatís more is that you also develop friendships amongst the people at the nursing home as well as with the other fellow CASSians who go on a regular basis. A very much loved and long-term community service in CASS! Everyone is welcome to come but please note that most of the residents at the Chinese nursing home are Cantonese and Mandarin speaking.

Time: Every third Saturday of the month,
10-12pm
Place: Bernard Chan Chinese Nursing Home
Burwood

English Nursing Home Visits

The Little Sisters of the Poor Nursing Home is one run by Sisters, with many of the residents having vocations in the Church. Mingling with these residents well-versed in the Catholic Faith is sure to be an enlightening experience, being amongst people so devoted to their Faith. Volunteers are also invited to attend Mass with the residents at the conclusion of the Community Service Session. We invite you to join your fellow CASSians in volunteering and helping out with this Community Service initiative!

Time: Every first Saturday of the month,
10am-12pm
Place: Little Sisters of the Poor Nursing Home
Randwick

Please contact cassunsw@gmail.com for more information, or if you would like to come.
